   Employment Opportunities

We are looking for a person proficient in the teaching of English Language Writing to work as a Writing Coach for undergraduate and graduate business students. The duties of a Writing Coach include:

  • to provide coaching services to graduate and undergraduate students at the UCW Vancouver campus to help them to improve their English Language Writing skills by diagnosing samples of their written course work, pointing out problem areas, prescribing proper writing techniques, and suggesting ways they could practice improved skills;


  • - Scheduling a fixed time where you would be available for students that drop in for assistance
    - Scheduling specific appointments to meet one on one with students
    - Reading their assignments as samples of their work and identifying weaknesses in their English Language Writing that needs to be improved
    - Recommending specific skills and writing approaches that the students should concentrate on to most improve their writing

  • to collaborate with course instructors in regard to specific services to be provided for students with writing deficiencies;


  • - Checking with instructors to see if they wish to assign any specific students to the writing clinic as a requirement for their course because the student’s submitted assignments are not readable enough to grade.
