If you already have university or college education,
you may be eligible for transfer credit. Transfer credit means that
the courses you completed at another university or college could
be used towards your degree at UCW. We want to give you as much
credit for your previous education as we can. Just complete an application
form and have the institution you attended send us an official copy
of your transcript so we can make an assessment.
Our Admissions Officer and/or the Dean of your Faculty
will determine if you are eligible for transfer credit, based on
your official transcripts. We will always try to give you the maximum
transfer credit that is appropriate. When we are assessing eligibility
for transfer credit, we look at: the type of institution you attended;
how applicable the courses you took are to the UCW program you are
applying for; the grades you achieved; and UCW’s minimum course
requirements for your program of study.
You must submit official transcripts from any senior
secondary and post secondary institution you attended at the same
time as your application. Remember that an official transcript is
one that has been sent directly from the institution that issued
it to University Canada West. You must give us an official transcript
from each institution that you have registered at, even if you withdrew.
If we do not receive all your information and transcripts in a timely
manner, we may have to delay or suspend your admission.
